Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario GalaxyMario returns and takes his next adventure in to space. Follow him as they travels from planet to planet bending the rules of gravity. Players experience point of view shifts as they run upside down through alien worlds. Meet challenges like surfing on a ray in an ocean in the clouds, rolling a ball through a treacherous garden, or floating in a bubble over a poisonous swamp. Control Mario with the Wii Remote and use the Nunchuk to perform his special moves. A special coop function allows a second player to collect star bits for Mario or take care of enemies in his way. This title also includes opportunities to change Mario in to a Boo or a bee.

When it comes to anticapated games for the Nintendo Wii, lots of of them have wanted thing, Mario. It's been  a year though since the Wii was launched with The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess as the main attraction, but lots of die hard fans have been anxious for a game that has delivered the appeal of Tremendous Mario 64 from Mario's hay day. Although Tremendous Mario Sunshine was as well as a fun game for the Nintendo Gamecube, it didn't deliver as well as the Nintendo 64 classic had proven. But, Mario has proven his strength earlier this year on the Wii with gems like Tremendous Paper Mario & Mario Party 8 which both worked well as great buys for the Nintendo process, but this is the that reaches to the stratosphere.

Tremendous Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii, brings in the giant guns, as Mario does whatever it takes to save Princess Toadstool a.k.a. Peach from the clutches of Bowser. This time around, Mario takes to the sky to help him in his quest. Along the way, Mario has to collect star bits, which can help him beat enemies & bosses of all kinds, from the classics like Thwomps & goombas, to bigger than life boss battles like a vulgar spider who shoots venom at you, & even a mecha robot that fires bullet bills at you from all different angles.

The graphics in the game are absolutely breathtaking & appeal well to the Wii's eyes, while the music is simplistic & elequent to the ears of Mario fans, as they surfs the galaxy. The control is also simple to manuver, & stays chiefly relevant to the palms of the Wii remote & nunchucks' hands. You can also use the Wii remote to help you grapple onto trees & meteors that can help you launch from platform to another, & you can also use to help you collect star bits, & perform new assaults like the spin move. There is as well as a new coop mode where for the first time, people can play, as you can use another player to help you collect star bits, to help you along your quest, & defeat tougher foes like a giant octopus in the lava, & even giant goombas that are beyond the heights of the world.

There's as well as a few new features here that Mario shines through as well in the game, like specialty suits like the bee suit, which transforms Mario in to a bumble bee, that can make mario fly through the Honeycomb stage, where they can collect coins & stars from each of the levels. There is also the boo suit, where Mario can actually become the ghostly menace, Boo in the haunted house level to help him enter ghostly portals that Mario could not normally enter, but it can also make the other Boo ghosts quickly fall in love with Mario in the blink of an eye. There's also some returns of classic items to make use of as well like the Fire Flower, as well as a new ice flower that Mario could use to freeze his foes on ice.

All in all, what I am liking about Tremendous Mario Galaxy is that it is everything Wii owners have wanted in a great game, & more. It is a sure must buy for the Wii that is positive to bring lots of excitement in to die hard Mario fans. This is game that brings out the heart at being the best of what the Nintendo Wii has delivered, & that has still shown to die hard Mario fans of all ages. I absolutely recommend it as a great buy on a star-spectacular scale.

But Mario is not one to be put off by such things. Come along with Mario, Luigi and other friends as they venture into the depths of the Mushroom Kingdom to get Peach back once again.
Gameplay
Although New Super Mario Bros. is a modern addition to the Mario Bros. tome, it revels in the fact that it is an old school side-scrolling platformer through and through. The single player mode is set on 80 levels spread across eight worlds, with players assuming the role of either Mario or Luigi. As in all Mario Bros. games, the ultimate goal is to rescue Peach, but as players traverse game levels the immediate goal is to collect coins, hop on top of enemies, and break open blocks while searching for power-ups as you race to capture the flag at the end of each level. Each of the game's eight worlds climaxes with a boss battle tied into the abduction of Peach, in which players will need to utilize the game's six power-ups in order to have success.
Along with its single player mode New Super Mario Bros. for DS also features two different multiplayer modes. The first is the Mario vs. Luigi, 2-player competitive mode. Here it's brother vs. brother in a literal race for Stars. Players choose to play as either Mario or Luigi, with the goal to collect the Stars that appear throughout the stage at timed intervals. If one brother gets a star(s) first they can be stolen away by the other player by doing damage. The one who gets to the set number of stars wins. This mode uses local wireless DS Single-Card download play, so only one game card is needed. The other multiplayer mode revolves around mini-game play. There are variety of these, which can be engaged in on a one-on-one basis, or in tournament fashion with 2-4 players.
The Power-ups.
New Super Mario for DS contains contains six power-up options. Three of these, the Super Mushroom, the Fire Flower and the Starman are back from previous games. There are also three entirely new to the game, these being: the Blue Koopa Shell, which Mario can crawl into to protect himself and spin when inside it to attack enemies; the Mega Mushroom, which allows for a huge Mario; and the Mini-Mushroom, which makes Mario very small and able to get into places that wouldn't otherwise be available.

The History Of Super Mario

The History Of Super Mario
Mario is easily one of the most recognizable faces to come out of Nintendo, but did you know his original name was Jumpman? That's right, in 1981 Mario first appeared in Donkey Kong, but then he went under the name of Jumpman, but Mario was used as his name in some promotional materials. This game surprised Nintendo by its extreme success. To test the popularity Mario, Nintendo released an arcade game called Marion Bros., which included Mario and his brother Luigi. This game was a huge success for Nintendo. Due to the success of both Donkey Kong and Mario Bros., 1983, when Nintendo released the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System), they also release Super Mario Bros. reference to its original name appears in a couple of Mario games, such as in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, when an audience refers to Mario as Jumpman before a battle, and in Mario Hoops 3-on-3, where his nickname is "The Jumpman."
Mario also makes sure the current day, can be blamed on the restrictions placed on the programmers and artists in the early 80th century by current technology. The programmers could not animate Mario arms when he moved without making them disappear, so they gave him overalls and a solid shirt color. They also did not have room for a face or ears, and could not animate his hair, so they gave him his mustache, sideburns and a baseball cap. Shigeru Miyamoto, Mario creator, has said in interviews that Mario wears a cap because he finds it difficult to draw hair.
Mario's surname or last name is also Mario, which explains the use of Mario Bros. as game titles, because Luigi is Mario's brother, so they have the same last name. was first used in Super Mario Bros. Super Show, and then again in 1993 in a movie called Super Mario Bros.. Nintendo as a whole has never officially confirmed it, but it was put up on Nintendo of Europe's official Mario Mega Site.
Ever since Mario has been popular, he has been the unofficial mascot of Nintendo. He has been extremely and possibly over-merchandised along with his one time rival Sonic the Hedgehog, which became Sega's mascot in the early 1990's. They competed fiercely until 2001, when Sonic Adventure 2: Battle came out for a Nintendo console due to Sega's new third party status. Even though Sonic and Mario now on Nintendo consoles, they still competed with each other, but not as much as before. It was not until recently that they have been seen together in the newly released Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games for the Wii. They will also appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl together as well.
Mario is a 5 feet tall, portly plumber from Brooklyn, New York who lives in Mushroom Kingdom. He is considered the most famous video game character in history, and his series of games has sold over 193 million copies. Mario has not only occurred in platformers, but in other genres as well. The other genres include reacing with Mario Kart, sports games like Mario Tennis and role-playing game like Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
Although Mario occupation is a plumber, he is almost never seen doing any actual plumbing. With the exceptions of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and in the original Mario Bros.. Tubes are still a means of transport, but also about why perhaps not clear. Mario's most seen plumbing performances came from his animated series. The film has also told us that he is very knowledgeable about tools and fixing pipes, which go along with his plumbing occupation. But in the original Donkey Kong game, where Mario, who still called Jumpan, actually a carpenter. Mario has also appeared as a doctor in Dr. Mario. He has also been shown as an archaeologist in the Game Boy game, Mario Picross.
Mario favorite seems to be saving Princess Peach and the Mushroom Kingdom. Other ways he spends his time fighting villains, namely Bowser. In RPG, Mario is given a heroic status for saving the Mushroom Kingdom so many times. In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, he and Luigi-called "superstars", which basically means big celebrities. Mario Toy Company is Mario's main source of income. It produces miniature figurines of Mario and other characters from the Mario games, as seen in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.
Ever since his first appearance in Super Mario games, Mario has been the role of hero, destined to save the girl in distress. In the original Donkey Kong, he had to rescue his girlfriend Pauline from Donkey Kong. Pauline obviously not remain in the series, when she was replaced by Princess Peach, originally called "Princess Toadstool" or simply "princess" in the English releases, in Super Mario Bros.. In 1993, with the release of Yoshi Safari, Princess Peach was finally used in an English version of a Mario game, but still was not used as much for the release of Super Mario 64 for Nintendo 64, three years later. Pauline has only seen twice since the original Donkey Kong, once in the remake for the Game Boy, and once in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, 2006. She has since been described as Mario friend, not girlfriend, as it seems to be Peach's position. Mario has received a kiss from her countless times, after each time he has saved her, but the true status of their relationship has never been officially disclosed, probably to avoid the problems with Pauline, but there are obvious love shared between Mario and Peach.
Apart from the ladies, Mario has too many other colleagues from the Mushroom Kingdom. It's Bowser, Mario arch rival so to speak. They have always been at war, but the sea ealso proven to work together when it will benefit them both, as in Super Mario RPG: the search for seven stars, and in Super Paper Mario. There is, of course, Luigi, who is Mario's younger brother, who tags along with Mario on his adventure. There are Yoshi and Toad, two of Mario's closest friends. There is also Wario, who is definitely not Mario friend. In fact, he seems to be the exact opposite of Mario, from the way both teams on standby letters on their hats. (M W)
Most of Mario abilities from the items that he collects and uses. In the platform game, it is the Super Mushroom, which makes Mario double in size. He is called "Super Mario", when he is in this state, and he may also have an extra hit point. Other examples of items include Fire Flower, which turns Mario into Fiery Mario, or just Fire Mario. This allows him to throw fireballs at his enemies. Another point is the star, which makes Mario completely invincible, and allows him to defeat all enemies with a single touch.
In other versions of Mario platformers, there are other unique items, such as Raccoon Leaf, and the Cape Feather. It Raccoon Leaf turns Mario into Raccoon Mario, and allows him to fly short distances by whipping his tail around in the air, much like Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog games. The Cape Feather is of course Mario into Cape Mario, which allows him to whip his cape at enemies to attack, and also allows him to fly. In Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins Mario can pick up the Power Carrot, which transforms Mario into Bunny Mario and makes his falling speed reduced.
Super Mario Sunshine is also included three special suite, the Frog Suit, the Tanooki Suit, and Hammer Bros. Suit. The Frog Suit Mario increase swimming and jumping abilities, but makes him slower on land. The Tanooki Suit gives Mario the same abilities as Raccoon Mario, plus it allows him to turn into a statue. Hammer Bros. Suit allows Mario to throw hammers and protect himself from the fireball. Even in this game, it Fludd, which allowed Mario to spray water on his enemies, hover over jumps and allowed him to run and swim faster by shooting water out the back, and also pushed him into something else out of reach destinations.
New Super Mario Bros. is introducing a new Blue Shell, which transforms Mario into Shell Mario, and allows him to do the Shell Dash and also protects him from certain enemies. New Super Mario Bros. also introduced the Mega Mushroom, which of course is transformed into Mario Mega Mario, allowing him to destroy everything, including bricks, pipes, and even the flag.
Obviously, Mario is a very popular character, who has been in many games, and has even inspired indie games and online flash games, get lots of hits and plays because they are free. With the increasing demand for new games, you can look for Mario to keep evolving and testing the waters in new genres as well. The future is still as strong for Mario as it was 20 years ago.
